Notre Dame Academy Enugu, joins Notre Dame de Namur worldwide to hold prayer service in memory of Sr. Dorothy Stang’s 16th anniversary of her martyrdom on February 12, 2005, and calls her staff and students to continue to make great efforts to care for our environment and save our planet.
Sr. Dorothy Stang was murdered fighting for the indigenous people of Amazon in Brazil.
“Together we can make a difference bringing peace, joy, care, love to our world that is losing sight of our guiding star-the goodness of the good God” Sister Dorothy Stang.
The school community reflected on Dorothy Stang’s life and witness, and took a pledge of commitment to protect God’s creation, to heal injustice and discover new beauty every day in God’s creation.
May we all continue to grow in our respect and care for all creation.
