Following the mission of our foundress St. Julie Marie Rose Billiart which has not changed for over two decades.
‘We are committed to education and we take our stand with the poor, especially women and children in the most abandoned places’
‘we exist for the poor, absolutely for the poor’
St. Julie Billiart
Continuing a strong education tradition, not only holistically, we go any length to provide a conducive and an affordable learning environment for the children. This we take to the rural and sub-urban areas so that the children can learn in a modest and modern environment with the rich. We are not limited to what we provide or where we make the provision.
‘Our work must not be limited…….it must make our hearts as wide as the world’
Notre Dame Girls’ Abuja is an all girls School situated at Kuje, Abuja whose aim is to give
holistic education to girls.
This includes nurturing their spiritual life. At present, the
which facilitate fast and accurate learning for them.
The girls need a good and comfortable accommodation
School building
School lacks a befitting place of worship. The students worship in the refectory which is very compacted because its shared between worship and meals.
A chapel is being erected, we invite you to partner with the sisters in building a place of worship for God.

We take our stand with people living in poverty. We understand and support people who live in poverty. We assist them in some basic necessities of life like clothing, medical treatments and food items.
We teach them how to fish ……….
Owing to the economic crisis in the country and mass unemployment we engage in the mission of teaching the youth and women how to ‘fish’ themselves rather than giving them ‘pieces of fish’ every day. This we do through empowering them in skills acquisitions through vocational training.
We continue a strong educational traditional ……..
For over 200 years, the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur following the footsteps of the foundress, St. Julie Billiart, have continued to teach at all levels of education as well as in less conventional ways in health facilities across Nigeria. We give opportunities to the less privileged to access the same standard of education with the rich through our Educational Sponsorship Programmes. This is made feasible through donations from good hearted individuals like you.
Every Sister of Notre Dame commits her one and only life to work with others to create justice and peace for all. We put smiles on peoples’ faces when we help them out of poverty. We invite you to join in the mission pf creating many smiling faces of Jesus all over Nigeria.
