Some Associates of theSisters of Notre Dame de Namur made their final commitment in the Congregation. The ceremony took place in Kwara State, Ilorin diocese where the Sisters work in spreading God’s goodness amongst the people of God. They pledged to work with the Sisters in living out their lives in the spirit of Saint Julie Billiart, the foundress of the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur.

Saint Julie Billiart, the foundress of the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur was canonised on June 22, 1969 by Pope Paul VI. The sisters gathered together to celebrate her feast. The sisters of Notre Dame de Namur celebrate her on April 8 and May 13 every year. Saint Julie, pray for us, protect us and bless us.

Commemoration: For the fact that NDGA, Amoyo is in the semi-arid zone of Nigeria which is at present faced with isolated issues of desertification, the school summed up the anniversary celebration with the planting of trees, a sign of our commitment to the care of the earth same as the virtues Sr. Dorothy Stang upheld.
