Christmas and New Year celebration is over and all the children who travelled for the celebration are back to begin school. “Holidays are over, Holidays are over” as they sing to remind themselves that Christmas holidays are over, while they continue to face their academic journey that begins a new term today.

All the schools owned and managed by the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur have started a New Term for 2025. We are grateful to our good God for the grace of life.

As St. Julie and Françoise would have been very happy to welcome the children back to school, so the Sisters are very glad welcoming the children to school with smiles on their faces.

Some Basic six pupils of Saint Peter Nursery and Primary school were happy saying goodbye to school for the Easter holidays. They all passed their second term examination and that contributed to their joy.

Having worked hard for the term and were successful, they thanked God for the hard work and the achievements. Some of them will be spending the holidays with their family members they’ve not seen for a while. It will be a thing of joy to see them again, they said.

Easter is a season of joy, peace and love. They intend sharing the joy, peace and love of God with everyone. When they resume after the Easter break, they will share with the rest of their classmate how the spent their holidays. For now, school is over and they are ready to spend quality time with their families and friends.

Sr. Uche Onyekonwu, a sister of Notre Dame de Namur authored a book titled “The Effect of Digital Culture on Consecrated Women.

The book is a clarion call to the consecrated persons and indeed anyone else to beware of dangers of digital culture while enjoying the good things of modern life. It is a practical guide for self-growth, for mentoring and for the holistic formation of everyone.

The digital culture has come to stay because of its usefulness. Moreover, the addiction to social media, and any other form of internet sponsored gadget of communication is worrisome to the author.
