February 2 is always a big day for the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur. It is her Foundation Day as well as the Feast of the Presentation of the Lord in the Temple. Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur is 219 years this day. With heart full of gratitude to God for the many blessings received, the Congregation celebrates it’s founding.

St. Julie Biliiart and Françoise Blin de Bourdon were good friends on whose friendship the Congregation was born. The Congregation founding heritage is Simplicity, Charity and Obedience. This founding heritage has kept the Congregation moving as they widen their hearts as wide as the World, in spreading the goodness of God wherever they find themselves.

Saint Julie will be smiling at her daughters for the establishment of a New Community in Enugu State. It is with great joy that the Province gives birth to another Community. Mgbowo Community as it called is situated in Agwu diocese, where the Sisters is running a Nursery/Primary School. They own and manage school.
